How many educators are involved?

The partnership supports the coaching of 157 beginning teachers, seventeen beginning counselors, psychologists and speech-language pathologists, and twelve beginning administrators by eighteen mentor coaches and two project leaders.

How is the program delivered?

Teacher mentor funds help support the STEP Program (Supporting Teacher Excellence Program) in the Hillsboro School District, a three-year program that helps new teachers take the first steps in their teaching career.  The mentor program these two districts have designed creates a collaborative, tiered experience for participants that they hope to be able to sustain over time.
