How many educators are involved?

The partnership supports the coaching of 83 beginning teachers and 16 new administrators who are mentored by 8 teacher mentors (7 full-time) and 4 administrator mentors.

How is the program delivered?

Teacher mentor funds help support the STEP Program (Supporting Teacher Excellence Program) in the Hillsboro School District, a three-year program that helps new teachers take the first steps in their teaching career.  The mentor program these two districts have designed creates a collaborative, tiered experience for participants that they hope to be able to sustain over time.
