ABOUT US

Excellent teachers for every Oregon classroom.

Excellent leaders for every Oregon school.

Mission:

To enhance the professional practice of all K-12 public school teachers and administrators in Oregon to increase student achievement.

Student learning. Educators’ focus first and foremost is student learning.  For new teachers in the classroom, student learning can inadvertently take a back seat to classroom management, students with different learning needs and managing paperwork and data systems.

Teachers matter. Our K-12 system depends on quality instruction and quality educators.  Providing new teachers with support, resources, lessons learned from experienced teachers, coaching and guidance for the day-to-day challenges of classroom management and weathering a new school environment are vital and ultimately lead to student success.

Leadership matters.
Principals and school administrators are faced with increasing responsibilities: managing decreasing resources, maintaining a school environment, working with parents, managing a workforce. Innovative and dynamic leadership is needed today more than ever.
